On Friday, Chief Executive Officer of Yamuna Authority, Dr. Arunveer Singh gave this information to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting with development authorities, police administrative officers, and public representatives of the Meerut Division from 6 pm to 10 pm on Friday. During this review meeting, the Chief Minister was informed that a concession agreement will be signed between Niall and Zurich International Airport AG on 10 October.
After this, all obstacles in the direction of airport construction will be removed. After this, the foundation stone of the airport can be done anytime. The government has given the administrative and financial sanction of Rs 68 crore 61 lakh 773 for the registered value of the land of the six villages being acquired for the airport.
The contract was won by the Swiss company Zurich International Airport AG by bidding the highest revenue share per passenger when the epidemic of corona infection spread and the agreement could not be reached.
Rapid rail expansion will redefine the transport system
Reviewing the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS Corridor), the Chief Minister said that this is the first project of its kind to be implemented in India, which is being constructed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation. After incorporating the Meerut Metro Project into the RRTS project, a larger population will now get the benefit of world-class facilities.
